    Miles Richmond, MA

I had my first radical right brainer moment watching the Beatles perform live on Ed Sullivan's TV show in 1964. At that moment, I knew I wanted to embrace a life of music and creativity. After years of practicing the guitar, playing in bands, recording and performing live, I graduated from San Francisco State's Broadcast Communications Department.

I moved to Silicon Valley in the early eighties to work in television advertising. I was learning a lot about small business marketing, advertising and branding. However, I really wanted to incorporate my passion for music into my life+work design.

So, I moved from Silicon Valley to Hollywood to study film and TV composition and arranging at the world renowned Grove School of Music. I was mentored for two years by some of the best film and TV composers and arrangers in the business.

After moving from Hollywood to San Diego in 1991, I became Executive Vice President of Tuesday Productions, an award winning music production company with credits including Budweiser, Target, Disney, CBS Sports, Chevrolet, Fox TV, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Domino's Pizza, and thousands more.

That same year I graduated from the Executive Coaching Institute in Colorado Springs. I was fortunate to have studied with Leo Weidner who had worked with Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich. Dr. Charles Hansen, PhD was the institute's Training Director, and has been my personal coach for almost twenty years now.

While at Tuesday Productions, we developed and presented an educational advertising seminar over five hundred times to small business owners across the country. While traveling as a road warrior, I started to dream about my next personal life+work design.

In 1998, my father, Miles Richmond, Jr. had a school named after him! The dedication ceremony was touching. It also offered an opportunity for even more personal reflection.

During the course of my 20+ years of broadcast and music production career, I have participated in more than twenty-five album projects as a composer, arranger, producer or performer.  In 2003, I was invited by the Founder and Director of the National Theater of Ghana to record local indigenous musical performing groups in West Africa. I felt like a dude in a National Geographic Special!

In 2005, while still working at Tuesday Productions, I graduated from National University with a Masters in Counseling Psychology.  I completed my clinical residency treating homeless veterans. Over the years, I have counseled individuals, couples and families.

Today, I equip radical right brainer entrepreneurs to create a meaningful life+work design. I have incorporated my interests in personal development, marketing and creativity. I am a Certified Professional Coach and Authorized Duct Tape Marketing Coach. I offer individual+group life and business development coaching and consulting.

In the fall of 2008, Success is a State of Mind was released. I was honored to be asked to contribute a chapter in this anthology. Some of the othe participating authors include Deepak Chopra, Mark Victor Hansen and Les Brown.
